For me, it’s more than just beauty, it’s about wellbeing, confidence, and the joy of treating yourself.
Hi I’m Clair, and my journey in the beauty industry began nearly 30 years ago as a therapist at the beautiful Hanbury Manor Hotel and Spa. After a couple of years, I followed my passion and opened The Treatment Room, a boutique salon in St. Albans, where I specialised in luxurious Decleor face and body treatments. For ten wonderful years, I had the pleasure of helping my clients look and feel their best. When the time came, I made the heartfelt decision to step back and focus on raising my two lovely daughters.
After the challenges of COVID, my husband and I built my dream Beauty Studio in our garden—a space where I could create something truly special. However, life had other plans for me: just two months after the studio was completed, I was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia. It has been a really tough battle, but it made me truly appreciate how important it is to feel good in your own skin, look your best and to live life to the fullest.
Now, after years of treatment and recovery, I’m excited to return to what I love most. At Clair’s Skin & Beauty, you’ll find a warm, welcoming space where you can unwind and enjoy some well-deserved self-care.
